CUBORO, much more than a marble run!

Do you build according to a plan or do you follow your intuition?

You're probably familiar with this situation: you've bought a new bookshelf and it's delivered in individual parts. It comes with an assembly plan. And now the exciting question: What kind of person are you? Do you study the assembly plan down to the last detail before you set to work or do you joyfully start building, following your experience and intuition? There are definitely both types when it comes to building CUBORO marble runs – even in our team. In this article, you will learn about the many possible uses of CUBORO building plans.

The ideal starting point

If you are not yet familiar with CUBORO , the building plans are an ideal introduction. Cube by Cube, Level by Level , you build your first marble run and immediately check with a Marble whether everything has been put together correctly. This is comparable to the "seat test" after assembling your new office chair.

We in the CUBORO team have repeatedly found that many people feel more comfortable when they can approach the Marble run system with the help of a construction plan and gain initial experience. CUBORO newcomers gain the confidence they need to build their own creations.

With the construction plans, you will also get to know all the functions of the Cube and learn about the versatile uses of the various elements. In the new CUBORO book you will also find building plans for all the extra sets: With the building plans you will explore all the possibilities of the Extra Sets for faster, higher and trickier tracks. You'll be surprised how you can use the elements of the DUO set, for example, and send two marbles on their journey at the same time.

Practical tips

The CUBORO building plans are the heart of our new book. The building plans offer exciting challenges for every skill level. We also reveal some tips and tricks for building. Here are my three most useful tips: 1) Sort your cubes before building! Similar to building a bookshelf, it helps to have a clear overview of the components before you start. 2) Always start building the marble run at the lowest level and work your way up. Floor by floor. 3) The most important thing: test regularly with a marble to see whether the course of the marble run is correct and whether the marble can roll freely to the end of the run. It is easier to make corrections during construction than to discover at the end that the shelves have been installed slightly crooked. You can of course find more tips for the building plans in the book. Also watch the video at the bottom of this page – you can follow the construction of a marble run level by level!

Meditation or a real thrill?

For me, building according to a building plan is also a kind of meditation: similar to coloring a mandala, I can completely devote myself to the task and forget about space and time when recreating a CUBORO building plan. However, I am aware that this does not apply to everyone. Even in our team, tricky building plans can drive some people to despair. Some building plans are really challenging and require experience in combining the cubes. Even adults break into a sweat when the marble suddenly gets stuck or a tunnel in the middle of the course points in the wrong direction.
The current fall weather offers an ideal opportunity to discover the CUBORO building plans together. Children can spend hours with the building plans, often simply starting to rebuild the course on the CUBORO box (more on this in our article from last week about our visit to a daycare center). On rainy Sundays, the whole family can have fun with the building plans – you might even dare to try a tricky building plan with three different CUBORO sets!

There's no end in sight

The beauty of CUBORO is that the Marble run system offers countless play options - Building plan according to Building plan is just one of them. The Cube can be dismantled, rebuilt and piled up again and again. CUBORO offers endless possibilities! It is often enough to replace or rotate a single Cube to create a new track. Building plans inspire you to get creative and combine the different Cube yourself. The question is therefore not so much what type of builder you are, but rather what you start your CUBORO adventurer with!
